Rocky Coast Ramblings – a 2011 Review

Just another reason to love the folks at WordPress….

In the past I’ve used the blogging platforms of MySpace, Xanga, TypePad, Blogger and now I’m at home here with WordPress. Unless something super incredible comes along I can’t imagine my blog living anywhere else. Thank you WordPress for being the bomb-diggity!

Last night I got an email from the good folks at WP with an email subject of  “Your 2011 year in blogging.” When I clicked into it I got this page of fun stats from my year with this blog and I thought, for fun, I’d share them with you. Thank you to everyone who has read, subscribed, commented and shared my blog and posts. I’m looking forward to another fun year of sharing with you.

A few things in this report made me chuckle including the fact that my busiest day of the year came with the post of Monday Night Television – really?! I’m not sure what to make of that except evidently there are other huge tv fans out there with me! Yay! Also my most commented on post was My First Turkey – Part 1! 🙂

I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings!

As for my favorite posts from the past year… just go to the right column and under categories click on Project 365 (which I failed miserably at) and Photography – any and all of those posts are my favorites. What is your favorite post from this past year?

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,600 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 60 trips to carry that many people.
