Garden Zinnias in October

This is the first year I’ve planted Zinnia’s in my garden and I’m so thrilled I did. I will definitely be planting them again next year though in a different area of the garden and double what I planted this year.

I’ve been getting flowers to cut since August and doing so regularly has kept them producing more and more blossoms – I even cut some this morning to bring into work with me. Now we are into mid October and the plants are still full of flowers with more buds in sight. The leaves are starting to get spots but I’m thinking that’s because of the cold nights we’ve had recently, even a few with frost.

I have to say having fresh flowers on your office desk can brighten your day like nothing else.
