I’ve been lackadaisical about posting this summer mostly because I wanted to be with my family and not sitting at computer longer than I had to be. Now that I’m back in the house earlier (its getting dark way too early!) and I have more time to be writing I thought I’d jump back on the horse.
As usual I didn’t get to making as many photos as I wanted to this summer but I did make some. Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting and sharing them with you – and hopefully that won’t make you unsubscribe 🙂 And while not an overly exciting or eventful summer there were some fun times had. In June the family and I went sailing on the Maine windjammer J&E Riggin (for a knitting cruise!!) everyone had fun and I got to knit – a lot! On July 4th we went to Monhegan Island with the whole family – around 40 of us – for the day followed by a lobster bake. This was our Christmas gift from my grandfather and his wife. In late July one of my cousins got married and then another cousin in late September. Then there was A’s 10th birthday in August as well as the Lobster Festival and the kids returning back to Missouri. And that about sums it up. I have photos to share of a few of those events and will post them soon.
Now the kids are back in school and the sailing season is winding down. Fall is my favorite season – it brings mums, colorful trees, fresh apples (and apple cider of course), cooler temperatures, and the urge to knit more and start roasting vegetables. How can you not love all of that goodness?
