First Frost

We’ve had a couple of light frosts so far this fall but Tuesday night was the first hard frost here in Rockland Maine. I’m so glad that I put a sheet over the leeks, celery, spinach, lettuce, carrots, and onions to protect them. Guess I’m going to have to get on that hoop house this weekend if I expect anything to survive. For the plants that did not get covered – they got a beautiful white frosty coating. I couldn’t help but make a few photos.
